I was searching

Dwelling in Light is a contemporary abstract painting created in Quebec in 2026 by Quebec artist and painter Hélène Lachapelle. In this 36 × 36-inch square composition, light becomes far more than a visual element: it transforms into an inner space, a place of presence, calm, and reconnection with oneself.
 
The composition unfolds through a subtle encounter between shades of blue, gray, turquoise, and earth tones, crossed by warm touches of ochre and gold. Denser areas meet transparent and vaporous passages, revealing traces, textures, and fragments of matter. Depth emerges through the layering of surfaces, where certain forms seem to rise into view while others recede into silence.
