Semi-abstract paintings
Painter Hélène Lachapelle
At the edge of the visible and the imagined, Hélène Lachapelle’s semi-abstract works suggest fragments of a world without ever fixing them in place.
Landscapes, presences, or movements seem to surface — as if perceived through memory or emotion — leaving the viewer free to complete what is only hinted at. Material plays an essential role: it reveals as much as it conceals, creating passages between the real and the inner world. Light, often diffused, acts as a guiding thread, leading the eye through these shifting spaces.
In this balance between suggestion and abstraction, the work becomes a meeting place — between what is seen and what is felt.
It invites a gentle contemplation, where ambiguity, incompleteness, and the richness of multiple perceptions are welcomed.
